Our Adult Teams
We have a Men's First and U19 Team at RVFC
Our First Team is managed by Michael Powell and our Development Squad (U21) by Dean Lale
The senior team was formed more than 10 years ago when players from the younger age groups were out growing youth football and stepping up to adult football. Ruddington Village FC joined the Notts Amateur Alliance where they had a couple of steady seasons finishing mid-table.
In 2008-2009, Ruddington United FC joined the club and was formed as the new 1st team, playing in the Senior Division of the NSL, with the established Ruddington Village side becoming the Club's new Reserve side in Division 2. The Club was also able to create an academy side, which played in the Notts Amateur Alliance.
After just one season in the set-up, the 1st team disbanded with 1 week to go until the start of the season. This resulted in the Reserves stepping up to create the 1st team, along with a handful of the Academy players, which saw them eventually relegated.
The 2010-11 campaign saw a fresh start for the senior section, with the introduction of new players. This saw Ruddington Village bounce back into the Senior Division after a title winning season in Division 1.
The following season saw in a new era for the senior section, with the introduction of the Reserve team again, with them going from strength to strength. 2013-2014 saw them promoted into Division 1 and reach the League Cup Final.
The 2015-2016 season was a stand-out one for the club with the First Team being crowned champions of the NSL Senior Division, the first time in the history of the club. The Reserves finished in runners-up position in Division 1.
